Matthew Hunter
Solicitor (LLB)
Matthew joined McCarthy Durie lawyers having worked in two previous law firms as a law clerk, law graduate, and solicitor, concentrating primarily in the areas of general civil and commercial litigation.
Although his primary interest lies in the area of debt recovery, Matthew has dealt with a wide range of matters concerning various legal areas such as defamation law, employment and industrial relations law, administrative law, and the law of torts.
He graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws, and completed his practical legal training at the College of Law.
Prior to his legal career, Matthew completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, majoring in advanced performance on jazz saxophone. He still continues to nurture his love for music, and outside of law practice, he also enjoys playing tennis, surfing and watching films.
