Annette Cussens

Annette is a solicitor in McCarthy Durie’s Family Law team, based in the Redlands.
Annette’s Experience
Annette started her legal career in support roles and quickly became inspired by family members, mentors and strong female figures working in the industry to complete qualifications in law.
Annette has approximately 25 years’ experience in the legal profession, having worked for several national firms, including Gadens, Phillips Fox and Dunhill Madden Butler. She has experience across a number of legal disciplines including intellectual property, planning and environment, insurance, and financial services recoveries.
Her breadth of exposure ultimately led to the discovery of her true passion; family law. Annette enjoys building personal connections and helping people. She takes great pride in her role as an advocate, acting as a voice for those who are not heard, with her main area of focus being parenting cases.

- Bachelor of Laws Central Queensland University 2018.
- Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice – College of Law Queensland 2019
